1. What you're buying

WhisperBar - an app that records audio and sends it to secure transcription servers for transcription.

One subscription = use on all your Apple devices. 100 hours of transcription per month for your entire family (up to 6 members) with family sharing. We're not greedy.

2. What you're NOT buying

• Unlimited transcription (you get 100 hours per month, combined for your family)
• A lifetime subscription (this is recurring billing)
• Tech support beyond basic help
• Guaranteed compatibility with future iOS/macOS versions (we'll try our best though)

3. Your responsibilities

• Keep your subscription active through Apple
• Use WhisperBar only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws
• Do not reverse engineer the application (contact us if you have technical questions)
• Do not redistribute or share access beyond your family sharing group

4. What we promise

• The app works as described (transcribes audio via secure servers)
• We do not monitor or track your usage
• We do not sell your data - we only store your Apple purchase ID for subscription management
• We provide regular updates and maintain app functionality

5. What we DON'T promise

• 100% uptime (transcription servers may experience occasional downtime)
• Perfect transcription accuracy (quality depends on audio quality and service limitations)
• Guaranteed compatibility with all future iOS/macOS versions
• Custom features developed for individual users

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of WhisperBar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Disputes

If you have concerns about the service, please contact us at support@whisperbar.app first. We will make good faith efforts to resolve any issues. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be governed by the laws of California and any legal proceedings will occur in California courts.

10. Limitation of Liability

WhisperBar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the current billing period. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost recordings or transcription errors.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in WhisperBar belong to us or our licensors. You may not use our trademarks, copy the app, or reverse engineer our code without written permission.

12. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, but these terms remain in effect.
